Landon McAlister is a writer of Gothic fiction, poetry, and prose that lingers on the thresholds of love, loss, and myth. Born among the mountains of West Virginia and carrying those rugged roots in his voice, he has wandered the wider world—from the raw Atlantic coasts of Ireland to distant seas—gathering fragments of story, memory, and song. Ireland, in particular, is both his muse and second home: a land where myth presses close to the soil, where grief and beauty share the same horizon. With his red beard, now touched by grey, he writes as one who has lived and lost, but still listens for the whisper of renewal.
As a folklorist and adventurer, McAlister crafts tales that bind together inner life and landscape, myth and memory. His completed works and works-in-progress reflect a restless imagination seeking to unearth the sacred ties between story, self, and soil.
